One of her favorite ways to do this is to share the teachings of yoga in way that allows everyone to play. Her humility and respect of the tradition allows her classes to be genuinely welcoming, accessible, and non-intimating. She is a true gift to the translation of yoga.
Kari came to yoga early on, but did not truly commit to her practice until 1998 while studying at UCLA and playing on their lacrosse team. She completed her first RYT 200 training in 2000 with Integrated Yoga Therapy and has been teaching and sharing her love of yoga ever since.
Kari is the owner and director of Life.Love.Yoga. School and Yoga Teacher Training Program. Kari was also the primary facilitator of The Heart of the Cascades Yoga Teacher Training Program at Central Oregon Community College from 2009-2014.
Kari hails from Ojai, California where she was a teacher at Lulu Bandha's, the home of the Ojai Yoga Crib. Kari has studied under many teachers in various traditions over the years including Paul Grilley, Erich Schiffmann, Patricia Sullivan, Ravi Ravindra, Jason Crandell, and Dana Flynn and is grateful for all of their guidance. Her teaching is primarily included by Kira Sloane, and her studies with Integrative Yoga Therapy. Kari has taught yoga in Oregon, California, England, and New Zealand and is blessed to call Sisters, Oregon home. Off the mat Kari is a mama to her son Auckland, her furry son trout, a fly-fishing caddy to her husband Dan, an auntie, a devoted friend, and insatiable traveler.
