Strength & softness, action & surrender, darkness & light -- The play between such dichotomies we experience and navigate off our mats are the foundation of Annie's teachings.
Annie has spent much of her years excavating the profound medicine found in all types of movement practices. Seeking balance amidst a high intensity, high pressure life as a collegiate athlete, Annie found her home in yoga. She now weaves lessons of self-compassion, acceptance, and empowerment through her teachings in hopes of helping others find their own unique place of home from within.
Upon completion of her career as an athlete at UC Santa Barbara, Annie dove headfirst into her first 200 hour training for Vinyasa Yoga -- since then, she has absorbed an additional 200+ hours of training in Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Functional Group Fitness, and Reiki Level 1 & 2 certifications. Along with her time spent teaching yoga, Annie works as an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist. She holds a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles with over 2,000 hours of fieldwork specializing in trauma, grief, and addiction.
Annie is the Director of Yoga at Sol Seek Yoga in Santa Barbara, one of three premier yoga and wellness studios with locations in the heart of the South Bay, Los Angeles and the Central Coast. She credits much of her inspiration from her mentorship and close work with Justin Randolph, owner of Sol Seek Yoga, where yoga is cultivated as love in action towards liberation and healing for all.
