Scott has been teaching yoga since 1998. Originally certified at the Center for Yoga in Los Angeles in 1997, he has studied Iyengar yoga with senior teachers such as Geeta Iyengar, Manouso Manos, Donna Holleman, and Ramanand Patel. He has also taken many workshops and trainings from Richard Freeman, Ana Forrest, Shiva Rea, and others. Scott has studied in depth from masters of Partner Yoga such as Ganga White, Cheri Clampett, Frank White, and Shiva Rea.
From 2000 to 2012, Scott primarily taught and studied Anusara yoga, working directly with the founder John Friend and senior teachers Noah Maze, Desiree RumbaughSianna Sherman,Darren Rhodes, Christina Sell, and others. He became a Certified Anusara Teacher in 2004 and a member of the Anusara Certification Committee. In 2012, he branched off into his own style of teaching yoga and has integrated AcroYoga and partner acrobatics into his studies, instruction, and fun.
Scott has a strong knowledge of western anatomy, physical therapy, and experience with using yoga to heal the body. His love of the Yogic texts and the stories from India has brought him to study philosophy and meditation with professors Dr. Douglas Brooks, Dr. Paul Muller-Ortega
, Dr. Bill Mahony, Sally Kempton, Georg Feuerstein, and others.
Scott offers regular workshops and teacher trainings in Los Angeles, nationally, and internationally. He especially enjoys teaching very playful partner/double yoga workshops.
