As a yoga teacher, educator, and massage therapist, she combines the tradition of yoga with her education in biomechanics to help us move intelligently and feel more at home in our own skin.
Jules's, MS, CMT, RYT, skill-based approach to movement increases strength and range of motion through deliberate and progressive exercises. Jules regularly contributes to yoga teacher training programs and leads workshops worldwide, balancing the somatic aspects of yoga with the most current exercise science. She educates the public about stretching through her blog. She applies her research when working with clients, primarily teaching private lessons. Jules is also a popular contributor to Yoga Teacher Training programs nationwide, providing Yoga Schools (at both the 200 and 500 hour levels) with the most current research in her field. Her mentors on the path include Leeann Carey, her thesis advisor, Dr. Jill Crussemeyer, and Gil Hedley. Her book, Yoga Biomechanics: Stretching Redefined, is now available through Handspring Publishing.
Jules lives in Henderson, Nevada. When she is not devouring science periodicals and journals, you might find her teaching, walking, traveling the world, or enjoying a nice bottle of wine in the company of friends. We are so grateful for her contribution to the yoga community and for sharing with us wholeheartedly on Yoga Anytime.
