We love Betsy’s free expression of joy and willingness to be surprised.
Her teaching allows the mind to open to magic, and her true gift is in the sharing of the yoga practices with children.
As a child Betsy watched animals bend and stretch and tried to imitate their flexibility, agility, economy of movement, and grace. She was a tree climber, horseback rider, runner, soccer player, and gymnast, and by the time she began studying the asanas in college she had already acquired a list of injuries and imbalances. She quickly noticed that yoga made her feel better. When she grew up, she became an English, French, and yoga teacher.
Betsy has completed 3 yoga teacher trainings, including Lulu Bandha's Rishi School and multiple trainings with Saul David Raye. She holds a B.A. in English from Williams College and an M.A. from Stanford in Curriculum Development and Teacher Education.
As a teacher Betsy tries to love all her students and to help them to connect to their breath, their bodies, and their beauty. She currently teaches yoga and French (and occasionally yoga in French) to children and adults in Ojai, California. She is on the faculty of Lulu Bandha's and trains teachers to share yoga with children. She is grateful to all her teachers, especially her family, for their love, dedication, and patience.
