Renee is a curious yogini and socially engaged performance artist whose primary medium is the human body and its physical experience. Her chosen media includes entrepreneurship, expanded therapeutic practices, astrology, pedagogy, ritual, online forums, soundscape, video, dance, and writing. She is dedicated to exploring and disseminating embodied knowledge that encourages a holistic approach to living and reintegration of our bodies, hearts, minds, and the earth.
Renee teaches yearlong, 100-hour functional anatomy certificate programs, and regularly presents in small workshops and intimate gatherings, as well as online. She has performed for the Time Based Arts Festival in Portland, Oregon, the Body-Mind Centering Association Conference, and the Elektra Festival in Montreal. Renee is the resident artist at Oregon Museum of Science and Technology from 2015-2017. She is currently an MFA candidate in Art & Social Practice at Portland State University and holds a BFA in Intermedia and Cyberarts through Concordia University, Montreal. Renee is a graduate of the Somatic Movement Education program at The School for Body-Mind Centering in Berkeley, California. She also serves as the co-founder and co-director of Sola School of Contemplative Arts.
