A lot to think about...and some things to take into my asana practice to see if they resonate with me. It's a bit complicated with the violence, but you seem to not focus on that and I am hearing/seeing through that layer. Thanks.

Vīrabhadrāsana 1 taking a step forward supported by the heart in the middle.  What a wonderful, heroic, human thing to do, and yoga can help us..initiate us into becoming full mature human beings.  I always wondered why I found this posture hard, it's not just physically hard, it's what it stands for that is harder.  But so worth it.  Thank you James for sharing Gaṇeśa's story in such an enriching way.
