Namaste. Why namaste? The meaning of namaste is the spirit in me honors the spirit in you. We're bringing together our left channel with our right channel in front of our hearts and honoring each other. In India when you're on a pilgrimage you'll notice that everybody says namaste from little children to elderly people in offices on buses on the streets the fruit seller the guy with the fruit cart the rickshaw driver they'll all say namaste and it's a way of honoring each other and showing respect. When you're when you're on a pilgrimage it's very important to set yourself up with safe boundaries and namaste is a great way to do that so when you meet people along the way they might give you their hand or offer to give you their hand and instead of taking it unless it's someone you you really know you could just say namaste and they will respect you for showing them your boundary and also honoring them. Oftentimes you'll meet school children little children in India are often taught to what's called shake hands and they'll actually run up to you and they'll be saying shake hands shake hands and you kind of are like oh gosh you'll shake hands with like 20 school children at one time but if you're a woman in particular on a pilgrimage and men come up to you and and immediately try to take your hand or to shake your hand it's a great way to set a boundary for yourself and to show your respect also to just say namaste so this is a great way to set this boundary and to also honor and also to make new friends.
