Here are five tips for a successful and satisfying Shavasana. Step one, commit wholeheartedly. Bring your whole self to the experience and make a sincere effort and trust the process. Step two, create the space. Let your physical environment be clean, clear, cozy, safe, and quiet.
Be a place where you can shut the door behind you. Step three, empty. Step four, practice not knowing. Not knowing is most intimate. That's one of my favorite Zen quotes these days.
Not knowing is most intimate. Be curious and be surprised by what you find yourself doing, thinking, and so on. Step five, track your experience. Track the results. We find that journaling, writing, sharing with a friend or sharing in the forum helps with digesting the information, assimilating and integrating it into your daily life.
So to review, step one, commit wholeheartedly to this experience, to this Shavasana challenge. Step two, create the space for yourself. Step three, empty. Step four, practice not knowing. And step five, track your experience.
We hope these five tips will support you on your Shavasana journey. See you soon. Take care.
