Typically, what I do to feel better, I'll do a restorative practice. I'll do a lot of stretching, even if it's just 10 minutes or 5 minutes, just that moment of reconnecting with my body, tuning into sensations and tuning into my breath. And then I love yoga nidra, and I'll do my own kind of body scan, and that makes the world stop, and it makes me go into that quiet place of just kind of nesting. I'll take my dog for a long walk, and just being out and about makes me feel a lot better. I try to take pleasure in the small, simple things, take a moment in gratitude.
If you just have that moment of solid attention, then you can take that with you and use for the next thing that you're doing. I think that's why I love yoga, because I get on the mat and I am there. My feet are on the mat, my hands are on the mat, I'm feeling my body, and it's so real.
