Namaste dear yogi friend. Today we're going to spend a little bit of time awakening the energy of Lakshmi. She is the goddess of prosperity, of wealth and abundance, not only of material wealth but also of abundance of joy and love. So she sits on this lotus representing her liberation. She's in this perfect fulfillment and in this state of complete non-attachment she just allows all blessings to come to her and she also gives constantly. So she's this channel of never-ending flow and as we chant we're going to be awakening this energy within ourselves. As Manoj spoke about the goddesses and the gods, the yogic deities they represent, they can be seen as archetypes, so energies that live within us and we're awakening those energies within ourselves. So awakening the energy of abundance, of prosperity, of perfection, of beauty that is represented by Lakshmi. And you know it's often said that if you chant this regularly, perhaps take 40 days and chant this every day, you are going to notice some changes. You're really going to start to activate that energy of abundance within you. So if you have a Mala, feel free to find your Mala and we're going to chant 108 times together, otherwise just following along with me. So the chant is Om, being the primordial sound, Shreem. Shreem is the seed sound of Lakshmi. So that awakens and activates this energy. Om Shreem Lakshmiye Namaha. So Lakshmiye is just the way of calling to Lakshmi and Namaha means I bow to. So the chant, I'm just going to break it down for you, it's Om Shreem Mahalakshmiye Namaha. Om is the primordial sound of the universe. Shreem is the seed sound of Lakshmi. It's her essential sound. Maha means great. Lakshmiye is calling to Lakshmi. Namaha means I bow to. So essentially we're saying I bow to the great energy of Lakshmi. So as we chant, always the intention is just to rest in the awareness into the sounds. The mind will come and go, it will do whatever it does, but just keep dropping back into the vibration, resting the attention on the sounds, allowing that to cultivate this energy of abundance within you. Let's take a moment just to find a really comfortable seated position and you can be sitting on a chair, however you like. The main thing is just to have the spine straight so the energy can flow up the spine and be relaxed. I'm just beginning to rest perhaps the backs of the hands on the thighs. Take a deep breath in and exhale softening the belly. Maybe just closing the eyes, taking another breath in. Exhale relaxing the belly. Allow the spine to grow out of the earth like a tree just reaching the crown of the head up. Inhale gently lift the shoulders and hug them back, feel the chest open. One more breath in, exhale. Maybe even imagining yourself for a moment sitting on this lotus as Lakshmi is perched on the flowering lotus in perfection, in beauty. And we'll begin. Just resting into the vibration in the body. Deep breath in, exhaling. You may want to just lie down and allow yourself to rest into this energy, or else just gently bringing the hands together in front of the heart center. Taking a deep breath in, exhale, release. Gently letting the eyes open.

May your life be filled with an abundance of love and joy and prosperity. Namaste.
