(waves crashing) Hello, I'm Cheri Clampett and I welcome you to season one of Women's Health. As we age, we go through so many changes, but as we age there's also beautiful gifts. There's the grace of wisdom and compassion that come through living through many trials and tribulations in our life, and there's this self-awareness and self-knowledge that deepens as we age. As we go through these times of change though, there can be a lot of challenges, and especially with menopause for women with all the different symptoms that arise, we can sometimes feel thrown off and out of balance in our own bodies. So, in this season, we're gonna be showing practices that will help you with menopause symptoms, hot flashes, pelvic floor health, also insomnia that comes with not sleeping well and adrenal fatigue.
Adrenal fatigue and exhaustion can be quite common. We'll be exploring practices of therapeutic yoga which is a blend of restorative poses where you're held by bolsters and blankets and the chair in such a way to receive certain benefits. Gentle yoga, which are great for the joints to warm and stretch the body, and we'll be doing some strengthening for the bones also, some good strengthening practices for abdominal muscles and for the bones. In addition, we'll be looking at sexuality and how we deepen into our sexuality in our later years in life.
