Welcome. In this episode, we'll move through the diaphragms using sound. In Tantra, we have many different tools in our toolbox to help move or free energy, move consciousness through our body and to really connect to the more subtle essence of who we are. In this meditation, we'll use a particular sound, the sound of om, and you can think of this om sound as being spelled A-U-M, made up of these three special sounds, primordial sounds that will move us from the base to the crown. And each sound can resonate or be felt in a different region of our body.

If the concepts of these diaphragms or the grantis in which we will move or pierce energy through, you might want to watch the previous episode on grantis or the diaphragms. When you are ready, you can come to the most comfortable seat that will work for you. You can use any padding that supports you or use a wall for support. You just want to be comfortable and upright. You can place your palms face down onto your knees or thighs, and if you wish, you can connect your thumb and index finger together and just take a few moments to allow the body to settle into the asana that you chose, crown of the head over the base of your spine.

Move your awareness down into the base and or bowl of your pelvis, down into the pelvic floor or diaphragm, and we're going to chant together a few times the sound of A, as if it's born from that region. Now take a longer breath in as you're ready, A, and two more times, feeling it from the base. And just feel whatever there is there to feel. Perhaps just the density of your presence in that region, it feels as if the silent vibration or sound of that A resonating there. Keeping the awareness a little bit higher into that thoracic diaphragm, middle of your form, you'll feel as if it's born from that region, the sound of O, the U sound of that Aum, so feel the sound of Aum together a few times, inhale as you're ready, Aum.

Aum, Aum, Aum, Aum. And just silently feel that sound or vibration. Moving your awareness a little higher still through the soft throat, upper palate into the middle of the brain, and we'll feel and sound the M sound or Mm sound as if it's born in that region, inhale as you're ready, Aum, Aum, Aum, Aum, Aum, Aum. Aum, Aum, Aum, Aum, Aum, Aum Aum, Aum, Aum, Aum, Aum, Aum, Aum Aum, Aum You feel just the silent sound of mmm, the midbrain. Now we'll move through all three of those sounds, so moving from the ah sound at the base, rising up for the ah sound in the middle of the form, the mmm sound in the midbrain.

We'll share that sound together a few times. We'll leave a little space in between each one so we can feel. One more breath as you're ready, ah, mmm, ah, mmm, ah, mmm, ah, mmm, ah, mmm, ah, mmm, ah, mmm, ah mmm, ah, mmm, ah, mmm, ah, mmm, ah, mmm, ah, mmm, ah, mmm, ah, mmm, ah, mmm, ah, mmm, ah, mmm, ah, mmm. Silently now, just chanting the sound of Aum rising up from the base to the crown, silently if you would feel it a few times on your own. Silently now, just chanting the sound of Aum rising up from the base to the crown, silently now to move the energy back down through the system, just draw the tip of your tongue to the roof of your mouth. Take a deeper breath in and out through the nose and bring the palms together in front of the heart and then just begin to rub the palms together creating a little bit of heat, a little bit of friction. Keeping your eyes closed, you can take your palms over your closed eyes and just feel a sense of that heat begin to wash back down through the system so it bathes the brain, the face. Slide the hands down the sides of your face and jaw into the back of your neck. Taking one hand over the other hand, lightly over the throat and slowly moving the hands down over the heart. Bow your chin towards your chest, allowing the eyes to flutter open as you're ready and just gently coming back into the space. Namaste.
