How do I feel grounded now, when I can't feel the ground with my feet? I have a tendency to sometimes still be a fidgeter. So I like to take my shoes off for the literal sense of it. I like to take my shoes off and my socks off and just put my feet on the ground. I can't feel it, no, with my feet sensation-wise, but I can see the dirt touching my toes.
And to me, that's important. It gives me the space of just sitting still for a minute, even though I might be confined to this wheelchair. And you all might think I am sitting still. Oh hell no. I am not good at that. And so for me, it does allow me that space.
Okay, my intentions here were to put my feet on the ground and to take a deep breath. And so it has given me the space to do that. Otherwise, for me, it's getting out of my chair and just getting my butt on the ground. And just being, it allows me to sit on a lovely grassy area with you sitting in a lovely grassy area. And we're both just humans sitting in the environment, not confined by me in a wheelchair or you in what's happening at your home life.
We're just together in this space.
