Namaste and welcome to The Three Pillars. It gives me great pleasure to introduce The Three Pillars to you. In Ayurveda we use diet, sleep, and sex as the three pillars to create the foundation for a very long healthy life. They each have a vital role in maintaining your health. Often times we begin with focusing on somebodies diet.

I love the Hippocrates quote "Let food be thy medicine and medicine thy food." Which to me helps capture what that really means is that food alone can often be, diet alone can often be what we need to just maintain our health and have minimal problems with our sleep and energy levels. Through this lecture we'll start to look at some different ideas as to how to help you find the right diet that works for you. Then when the diet goes well often times people will sleep better. If we start to lose sleep on a regular basis we start to notice decreased immune system, trouble dealing with stress, and often times even poor digestion. What we're trying to do through the lectures I'm offering here is to give you some ideas of how to work at improving your sleep if you have sleep disturbances.

When we have good digestion, good sleep, then often times we have more energy for sex, sexual activities for creativity. If we notice that our diet isn't right, we're not sleeping well, we don't have that extra energy to create something unique in this world. The three work together to maintain your health and I hope you enjoy watching each section to help you re inspire your commitment to your health using the tools of Hatha Yoga and Ayurveda. Enjoy.
