Happy Solstice, the longest day of the year when we have the most time with the Sun on a perfect day to celebrate with my good friends. So, so happy to be here with Alana and Julia and Brenda and together we've put together some practices so that we can be in celebration together yogi style. So I'll be sharing a sequence of 27 salutations designed for those of us that might be more challenged with movement or just have more difficulty but it doesn't mean you have to be left out. I'll be offering 27 sun salutations playing with variations of Surya Namaskar A, B and C. So we'll play with some Lokobra, Locust and Chaturanga. I'll also be offering a cooling sequence at the end of the day. And I'll be offering a more invigorating practice of 27 sun salutations starting with 9 A's then moving into 9 Surya Namaskar B's and then adding a little bit of spice and flavor with a variation of B for 9. So we'll be moving together through 27 variations on the sun salutation C which will be fairly gentle. And then we'll take a look at the Gayatri mantra which is a solar invocation one of the oldest Sanskrit mantras and chanting that together connecting and harmonizing with the energy of the Sun. I will also sing the Gayatri mantra to you if you'd like a little extra Shavasana and offering a meditation for us to do together to awaken the inner radiance, that inner Sun. So on this beautiful solstice day let the Sun shine, let the Sun shine, the Sun shine in.
