Hi everyone, welcome to Yoga Anytime, thank you so much for watching. What we're doing in this season is approaching restorative yoga in three different ways. The first one is actively, I know that sounds a little strange, let me tell you a little bit about that. What that means is there are dynamics poses, classical poses, all the classifications, right? The standing poses, the back bends, the forward bends, the twisting versions, but they are done with enough support where you only have to hold a little bit of dynamic tension, so we try to take as much of the recruitment of effort out of it by bringing enough props to you, so that's how it's done actively, and think about this pose, the side plank pose, vasisthasana, who would've thought that you could actually do vasisthasana with enough support, right, that it could actually be restorative?

It's true, what we've done, and you'll see it in the clip or the video, what we've done is supported the head and the whole side body in such a way where the weight of your body can drop down into the support. It's really fantastic, I can't wait for you to see it. The next thing we do is two different ways very passively. The first one is done, that's called breathing and feeling, and this series is really about introducing a little bit more breathing exercises, or breathing practices into it. We end with a seated breathing practice.

Now, you may be saying, oh I can't sit for that long. First, we don't sit real long, we sit just long enough for you to feel the effects of what a good breathing practice does. You're well propped, everybody can do it, and I'm excited to show that to you as well. The next one is called, my favorite, is called the yummy series. Why is it called the yummy series?

Because everything prepares you for savasana. Everything leads to savasana. I think some of them even start with savasana, sounds like it's just savasana all day long. So, I'm very happy to present that one to you, so thanks for being here, and you know, if you have any questions or comments, or this works for you, or this doesn't work for you, or how do I move the props in a certain way so that it works for these challenges that you may be dealing with, please feel free to let us know, I want to know, I want to help you with the process of really understanding and getting yourself deep into restorative yoga. It's done a world of good for me and a lot of people that I've shared it with, and I'm excited to share it with you.

So, thanks for you watching, and stay tuned, namaste.
