Welcome back to AcroYoga Family. I'm Devin with my friend Baron and his two sons. Do you want to introduce everyone? This is Jude and this is Kaya. And they are going to help me show you some fun flows that we can do together. So let's begin the way that we normally begin with three big centering breaths. So if your arms are available, you sweep them out to the side and we exhale through center. Yeah, just like that. Once more, just like that. And then we're going to take three alms, breathing in together.

Home. And we have a song that I'd like to share with you. So if you know it, you can sing along. We'll do it twice and you might just get some of the movements. So as long as the kids are being safe, I'm okay that they just listen. Here we go. The more we get together, together, together, the more we get together. The happier we'll be for your friends are my friends and my friends are your friends. The more we get together, the happier we'll be. You guys want to sing it one more time? And if you want, you can do more and together when we say those things. That's the American Sign Language. So here we go.

The more we get together, together, together, the more we get together, the happier we'll be. For your friends are my friends and my friends are your friends. The more we get together, the happier we'll be. Yay. Okay. Are you ready to move? I'm ready to move. We're going to start with lizard on a rock. So one person who wants to start by being the base can come into a child's pose and then our lizards are going to do a backbend over them. You want to do the first child's pose and they can lizard on you? That sound good, you guys? You guys are going to be a lizard? Yeah. Are you ready to be a lizard?

Oh, just like that. Okay. And I might show you the first lizard unless somebody comes back in time. Yeah, you. You're going to be the first lizard? Me too. Okay, so lie on your back. Can you flip over? This is lizard on the front back. And then can you flip over? I'm going to put you into a backbend. And then reach your hands overhead and then make a good lizard sound. What's a good lizard sound? Yeah, you're good. Can I help you up? Okay. How did that feel? That felt good. All right. Do you want to do you want to do? That's okay. All right.

Do you want to be a rock and have him do lizard on you? Okay. That happens sometimes. One more lizard on a rock. Will you turn over? Will you come into a little backbend? There we go. There you go. Lizard on the rock. A really sweet backbend. The beginning of partner work. Kids can do it with kids. Kids can do it with adults. Adults can do it with adults. You want to come up? You want to stay there forever? Okay, here we go. All right. Nice work, everybody. So from here, we're going to go into a little bit of flying.

So Baron is going to come onto his back with his head in this direction. And we'll see which kid wants to go first. This is a great opportunity to work on taking turns. Okay. I like it. Kaya. Kaya. Wait a turn for a moment. Is that okay? Oh, thank you. Will you stand up and then face towards me, Jude? And dad's going to put his feet on your bum. And then we're going to take him into a little backbend there. So you can see how Baron has to lift up to help make that happen and then reach for his hips. So you might have to bend your legs a little bit more.

Yeah. Front of his hips. All right. Now here we go. All the way up and over. We're going to bring his feet to the ground. And then what do you think we want to do it again? Okay. Oh, we're going to switch it up because we're taking turns. All right. You're going to turn around. You're going to turn around. Here we go. Oh, all the way up. Feet to the ground. Astronauts. Do you feel like an astronaut when you do that? All right. He met Octonauts. Oh, okay. Octonauts go underwater. Octonauts go underwater.

Should we do it one more time? Okay. We're going to do one more backbend one. So coming in nice and close, holding onto the hips. And you'll notice as the kids come down, they're going to land it better and better every time. Break your feet to the ground. Yes. Stand all the way up. Oh, do you want to see? I wanted to show the reverse. Maybe we'll show the reverse on the next one. Okay. One more backbend. So notice how much Baron has to crunch in to get to his little kiddo who is ready for the flip. Feet down to the ground and then keep your hands right there because we're going to reverse it. Yep. There you go. Snuggle it in nice and deep. Maybe. And then all the way back up. What did you think of that one?

Okay. All right. Whoa. Ta-da. Good job. All right. Oh, very good job. The only problem when your kids know you know how to do this is they want to do it all the time, maybe. Okay. I would like to do a forward flip. What do we think about? We're going to go up into front bird and then do a forward flip. No, no, maybe. You'd be silly. Are you serious? Whatever you want. Let's do it. Okay. So now kind of like front bird with adults, but a little bit different. Oh, we're just, we're ready to go. Yeah. Will you stand all the way up? There we go. The feet are going to come across a lot of the torso. So we'll lean in. We'll come up. Yep. There you go. We're holding on thumbs. That's a really reasonable way to do it. And Baron's going to lift, stack his heels over his hips.

His legs could be bent if his hamstrings were tight. And Jude, can you look up in space and lift your toes a little tiny bit. So this is front plank or front bird. And do you want to do the flip? Okay. So Baron's going to bend his legs and reach again for the hips. And we're going to lift him all the way up and over. Really normal that kiddos might want to hold onto the arms. So it's nice to have a spotter here as we're figuring it out. Good work. What'd you think? Take it a moment. Yeah, this is why it's nice. So front bird, and we're going to flip that bird.

Tada. All right. Good work, everybody. Really, really sweet. We're going to sing one little song to cool down so you can sit in your father's lap or you can sit next to him. Luckily, he's got two legs so you can both sit there, right? And we're going to rock from side to side. And if you know this song, you can sing with me. Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream. Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream. Let's take one deep alm together. And do you guys want to do a shavasana together? Do you want to do a resting pose? So Baron, you lie down on your belly. So and if you want, yeah, that naturally happens, right?

Is that feel comfortable for your head, neck and shoulders? Yeah. And if you if somebody else wanted to, they could walk around kind of like a dog on top of this prone shavasana. And we also have the option to just step on feet right here. And I'll check in. Does that feel okay? Yep, I got a thumbs up. So I'm looking for verbal and nonverbal cues. This is really sweet because this is something that kids can offer to adults while they're resting. Adults can offer to kids and kids can also give a little support this way with each other. Do you want to step on this foot? No, you step on this one. We'll breathe in together. We'll breathe out together and find a moment of stillness.

So shavasana with kids doesn't look exactly the same as a regular yoga class, and that's okay. Let's all come back to seated. That's a nice transition. And we'll take one more on to close this time today. Breathing in together. Shanti peace be with you. Namaste.

Thank you, Baron. Thank you, kids.

Trinity I will let the YogaAnytime Team know about this. I just checked and it worked for me. I wish I could help you troubleshoot more!

Hi, Trinity! We are trying to recreate the audio issue you had, but have been unsuccessful.  Are you still experiencing the first few seconds cutting out? Can you tell us exactly what the time codes are, as well as on what kind of device you are watching? Thank you! 🙏
