Description

Ms. Stix developed her Alphabet Yoga practice for young yogis to not only connect letters to sounds, but as a way for them to feel more focused through the day and to become more comfortable in their bodies. Hi, I started teaching Alphabet Yoga about 15 years ago when my son Sammy was three, and he's 18 now, so I went into his pre-K class. I began connecting a letter of the alphabet to a different animal, and what I noticed over time is that it helped the kids, one, become more focused, and concentrated, comfortable in their bodies, and themselves, and two, it really helped them learn how to read connecting the letter, the sound to their body to the shape, so I invite you all to experiment with the series. Have some fun, play with your kids, your classes. You can do part of it. You can do the whole thing, and then please let us know how it goes, report back.

We'd love to hear from you. I'm so glad that you're using this. It's a great tool. Kids love it, thank you.
