Namaste, welcome to season two. This season we're going to focus on the heart, and not just the idea of the physical heart, which is important. We're going to learn ways to create space in the physical heart for sure, but also working with the mental heart, which for me includes the emotional heart. So oftentimes we have a heart that is a little too strong maybe, or a little too sensitive. Sometimes we have a heart that feels weak, but really it's just sort of doesn't have enough space to really feel itself. So in this practices we're going to go in using hand mudra, using the breath, using the intention, and using the postures to begin to build that strength and build that space. Now why even bother to do that? Unless you have a real heart ailment that's you know causing you problems with your life. Well here's what the yogis see. The yogis of old saw was that someone with a very strong physical body and a strong physical heart also had the capacity to be tender, also had the capacity to be fierce, and somewhere in between that vulnerability and that fierceness lay the perfect ground for meditation, the perfect ground for connecting to the divine. But we have to know both ends of the spectrum. We have to know what it is to be fierce like the mother lion, and we have to know what it is to truly be vulnerable, to truly let the world come in. In between those two places we yoke them together and meet in the middle, and that is the practice of yoga. So come with me, let's explore our hearts, let's explore our life in relationship to our hearts through the asana. Namaste.
