Hey, friends. Welcome. My name is Linda Bassett, and I'm so excited to be here with you at the spring Equinox We are gonna talk all about that. Let's get started in the body. This is a short sweet sequence, so I invite you to think quality moments over quantity of moments. Alright? So come to the back half of your mat, child's pose.

Messle in. Like, you're going into your own little shell and visualize a seed. A seed being planted here in your body. Spring time is all about growth, opportunity, taking action and letting ourselves blossom. But we've gotta start with this seed of intention.

So maybe ask yourself the question. What do I want for this next season? What do I need? Let's take about 2 more deeper smooth their breaths in through the nose, out through the mouth. Good. And then from here, I want you to start to roll up and then come up onto your knees and reach your arms up over your head like you're blossoming and just expand through the heart from the knees.

Take a big inhale as you exhale, go back into child's pose bow and surrender. On your inhale, climb onto your hands and knees as you exhale slowly lower down to the belly. As you inhale, take a baby cobra, lift your heart as you exhale lower back down, inhale back to your hands and your knees, exhale back to child's pose, and let flow here, inhale to rise up, reaching through the arms, lift the hips, exhale, go back to child's pose, Inhale as you come to your hands and your knees, exhale slowly lower down to the belly. Maybe a wide cobra this time fingertips off the mat. Lift your heart and then lower back down. Hands by the ribs, inhale.

Hands and knees. Exhale child pose. And one more time, burst up. Big inhale. Reach the arms. Exhale. Child pose.

Inhale hands and knees. Exhale. Slow lower down. Inhale. Some version of cobra. Exhale lower down, hands by the ribs, inhale hands and knees, this time, downward facing dog, pause there. So just take a few moments to paddle out your feet.

Come back to a sense of grounding inward here. Maybe close your eyes. Let's take one more breath. Good. Right leg rises at big inhale here. As you exhale, step your right foot by your right thumb, warrior one stands.

Ground the back heel and reach up. And just feel that burst of energy into the heart, into the fingertips, blossoming, growing, expanding, And this is all coming from your feet. So your feet root down, your seeds of intention, deep into the soil, to feel this lift in your heart. So at the spring Equinox, we welcome the astrological new year Aerry season is the beginning of the season of astrology and Western astrology that I study. So we can think of this birth, this fresh bright springing action oriented take off type of energy.

So beautiful. Take one more breath. Alright. Good. From here, we're going to step forward to the front of the mat, sit back into the hips, chair pose, take an inhale here. And as you exhale sweep your arms behind you, and then inhale back to chair, and then do a few more sweeps. So with spring, we can also think about spring cleaning. And in order to harness that action oriented forward moving energy, we have to sweep away the path.

We have to let things go. Anything stale, anything stagnant, take 2 more. Good. And then hold your chair. Rise all the way up to standing big inhale. Go post your arms and receive into heart here, take another breath.

Inhale reach the arms back up, exhale dive forward and fold. Take a halfway lift, inhale, downward dog, or step back and flow through Vinyasa if you prefer. Inhaling into your heart, exhaling into downward dog. Left leg rise is up. Big inhale.

Step it forward. Exhale. Inhale warrior 1. Feel that burst, that rise, that reach, lift into the heart. And just soak it all in. Feel your inhalation, inspiring yourself into this place.

Such a beautiful time of year. So much potential for growth here. Couple more. Big full breaths. Again, quality breaths. Quality over quantity.

Good. And then lean forward a little step forward, find your chair pose, and we're just gonna hold it. Sometimes we call this fierce pose. So you can think of fierce action, strong action, Aries is a very masculine energy. It's a fixed energy. It's a cardinal energy.

There's so much good stuff happening here. Take one more breath and forward fold over your legs. Good. Take a half lift, inhale, exhale fold deeper. Alright. From here, let's just go ahead and sit down onto the mat. Find a comfortable cross legged seat.

Bring your hands to a prayer at your heart and then keep your outer fingers together, your pinkies, and your thumbs, and then open the center. This is called Lotus Mudra. This is the blossoming that we will feel in springtime, this bursting energy coming out of our heart, and just a little kapala botti breath here. So a forceful exhale out the nose a pumping of the abdomen. And if this breath doesn't serve you, just breathe naturally.

Let's try to go for 10. 9, 8, keep going. Think of this breath cleansing and purifying and releasing anything stale, anything stuck, anything that's standing in your way, last two One. Good. Take a deep breath into your nose. Hold the breath in.

And then exhale out your mouth and seal your palms together. And just honor any deep heartfelt intention that you wanna claim. As these seasons shift as we begin this journey of blossoming and taking action towards What's possible? Alright. And then you can just take a nice rest in either a seated meditation, or feel free to come on your back in Shivasana. And then let your breath just become effortless, natural, easy light. One thing to consider here as well around the spring, Equinox is equal day and night, a balance of energy, but also a shift towards more light. Right?

Towards the summer months, towards a brightening in yourself, and the way you show up in this world. So let the fire of Aerie season, ignite a spark, and then let that fire grow. And burn brightly. You're welcome to stay where you are. If you're ready to move back into your day, just start to wiggle your toes and fingers, come up to a comfortable seat, We'll gather prayer to the heart and seal our practice with intention.

So claiming one word in your mind's eye? What's it gonna be today? Just pick it, claim it, own it. And take another deep, full breath. It's already happening. Beautiful. Thank you so much.
