Thank you for joining me for this short visualization practice along with a few writing prompts to think about. One of my favorite Irish poets, the late John O'Donnell, says keep something beautiful in your heart. And I just love this. So let's come into finding that sense of beauty by invoking the senses and awakening our senses. So find any comfortable seated position.

Maybe close your eyes for a moment and let yourself get centered. Anything you need to find that position where you are alert yet relaxed. Drop your awareness into your body. Perhaps noticing any sensations? And what has your attention right here right now?

Notice the rhythm of your breath. And then begin by noticing the sounds. The sounds in the space that you're in beyond the sound of my voice? And maybe reaching for the sound that is outside of the space that you're in, the birds outside the window. Without attachment to any one sound, noticing and then noticing again.

Allowing the sounds to become a symphony, combined with the sound of the breath. Noticing any smells. Here in Ojai, it's the smell of the orange blossoms and spring Any tastes? Maybe swallowing a few times. And what do you feel? Maybe it's the earth beneath you, a breeze.

Extending that to any sensations in the body. The parts of the body that are connected to the earth. Temperature. And then the eyes are closed, allowing them to remain closed. If they were to open, What would you see?

I'm gently blinking the eyes open and just noticing the vibrancy of what's around you. Where does your attention go? What do you see in this space? And then with that sensation, with awakening, the senses, maybe writing to that. What came up for you?

What do you see? What do you hear? Smell, taste, feel? And just notice. Thank you for sharing this practice with me. Namaste.
